Everett True reckons that Artists Should Stick To Art instead of making mixtapes of obvious dad rock. If mixtapes made by artists are so disappointing in real life, I think we should invent some fantasy selections.

It’s a cover of Father John Misty, who I’ve never heard of, either. I caught it on the Line of Best Fit podcast and loved it. I think you will too.  It’s the languid groove, the warm fuzzy vocals, everything slightly distorted. It’s like indie rock in the 90s, only cooler. It’s what the kids now think the music sounded like back then. Except for The Breeders, who really did sound like that.
