Cardiacs Mix Tape

I made myself a seriously sweet Cardiacs compilation, which I thought I’d share with you. All of these tracks are available at iTunes, and three of them are available as a free download from Cardiacs.com. It’s an updated, expanded version of the mix tape given to me in 1993 either by Kavus or Arash Torabi – I forget which.

If you’re not already familiar with the “progressive punk” band who, since 1977, have influenced Faith No More, Radiohead, Muse, Blur, Tool, Korn, System of a Down, the Melvins, the Pixies, Talking Heads, the Smashing Pumpkins and They Might Be Giants … well, ya know, you really should! If you play only one of the tracks on this list, make it the last one, simply because it demonstrates the sheer epic scope of the music: it’s colossal!
