Om are a stoner rock band f0rmed from the rhythm section of Sleep, and though drums and bass form the core of the laconic groove, you’ll find other instruments popping in to say hi every now and then. The song titles on Advaitic Songs are littered with biblical references, but it appears that the band take a pan-religious, meditative approach to spirituality. The music mixes in elements of East and West, but mostly it’s that monstrous, thunderous groove that holds the appeal.
