There’s a lot of activity from certain corners of Brooklyn. Hot on the heels of the Function Falls EP announcement, Buke & Gase have uploaded another song.
“Buke” player Arone has hand-printed a number of t-shirts to go along with this, customised from shirts bought in charity shops.
A note from the band: “YOU ARE CURRENTLY CONSIDERING THE POSSIBILITY THAT BY PURCHASING A BUKE AND GASE T-SHIRT, YOUR MONEY COULD BE USED TO SUPPORT THE MEMBERS OF A BAND OF WHICH YOU LIKE THEIR MUSIC MAYBE QUITE A BIT. ON THE SCALE OF 1-10 WE MIGHT BE IN THE 5-10 RANGE OF YOUR LIKING. MAYBE YOU HATE THE MUSIC, BUT LIKE THE T-SHIRT.
“AS THESE WERE MADE FROM HANDPICKED THRIFT STORE SHIRTS, YOU’RE SUPPORTING THE REUSE/RECYCLE MOVEMENT. THEY WERE SCREEN-PRINTED BY ARONE, WHO ISN’T NECESSARILY THE MOST COMPETENT SCREEN-PRINTER, BUT SHE TRIES, AND LEARNS AS SHE GOES. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE LONGEVITY OF THE WORDS WHICH WERE HANDWRITTEN ON EACH TEE, BUT WE CAN GUARANTEE THAT THE HANDS WILL BE THERE FOR A WHILE. WE HOPE YOU GET DIRTY IN THIS SHIRT. TAKE A PIC OF YOU GETTING DIRTY IN THIS SHIRT, SEND IT TO US AND WE’LL POST IT ON OUR WEBSITE.
“WE APPRECIATE THAT YOU ARE CONSIDERING THE POSSIBILITY OF SUPPORTING OUR HARD WORK WITH YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. Thank you!”
Your $9-or-more gets you a t-shirt and a download of the track Hiccup. Alternatively, you can just buy the track for a dollar.
Note: at the time of publishing this post, there were just five shirts left!
